Types of Employment Offered through each Division at Dawson:

  • Temporary – When your business has short-term jobs that can last as short as a day, or up to several weeks. Each job situation is different, and we can work on a custom solution to fit your needs.
  • Temp-to-hire – When your business needs immediate staffing, but isn’t ready to commit to permanent hiring, temp-to-hire is a good opportunity to “test drive” a position and employee before making either full-time. Dawson manages the employee until you decide to onboard them.
  • Direct hire – When your Human Resources department is having trouble finding “the one,” or simply needs an additional resource to find a full-time employee, Dawson’s recruiters are ready to help immediately.

The CSP certification enhances your recruiter’s knowledge of labor and employment law and Human Resources issues. Our Criteria for Hiring

In addition to a thorough on-site interview with an experienced Dawson recruiter, Dawson provides complete screening of our candidates before they are placed on an assignment.

We use the following Core Associate Screening tools before candidates are submitted for temporary, temp-to-hire, or contractual assignments:


National Criminal Background Check

This multi-jurisdictional search of state and country criminal records databases produces instant results, and includes access to more than 133 million records across the United States, including the Ohio Department of Corrections. (Not all states and jurisdictions report to this database, and it notes convictions only). Nationwide, Web-based database search.

Social Security Verification and Address Manager

This search verifies social security number and details the residences where an individual has lived for the past 7 – 10 years. Includes “Also Known As” information, including maiden names, associated Social Security numbers, etc.; and further details movement patterns through credit card and other financial activity. Nationwide, Web-based database search.

Multi-State Sexual Offender Search

This search database contains currently registered violent and sex offenders with felony conviction records in 49 states, with most states providing quarterly updates. Web-based database search.

5 Panel Drug Screen

This screen tests for marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamines, morphine, and PCP. More extensive 10-panel test is available upon request. On site urinalysis.

Fingerprinting – Deterrent

A ten finger test is performed for Dawson Works associates only.

Validated skills testing, with over 800 available assessments, including:
